We attended PVE just after 5am this morning. This was our first time attending the clinic and under the circumstances it was difficult, however we were greeted with kindness and compassion by the nursing staff & vet.Our sweet little Lucy, who was 18yrs old had suffered FATE. We didn't know what this was until experiencing it and it's extremely sudden & painful for a cat.We were seen immediately and Lucy given pain relief. We had prepared ourselves for our final farewell and comforted our girl as best we could. The nursing staff showed care, compassion and understanding towards Lucy & us while we waited for the Vet.All steps of the euthanasia process were explained including what to expect. She passed quietly and was free from her pain.We will be forever grateful for the kindness and care given by the 3 wonderful ladies at PVE.Thank You

Unfortunately I had to take my 16 week old puppy here to be seen as she had vomited 10 times within 1 hour. When I called the hospital, they were very informative and lovely. On arriving the 2 nurses who greeted us were very calming, caring and informative. Our wait time wasn’t too long, would have been under an hour. When seeing the vet she was very caring, gentle and informative. My puppy and I left there with a lot more clarity and were able to go home and rest. Overall the clinic was great, clean & tidy with caring, compassionate and informative staff.

Thank you to the care and compassion shown by the Perth Vet Emergency team when we brought our acutely unwell 19 year old dog here a few nights ago. Despite a busy night she was assessed and managed with kindness and thoroughness . Thanks especially to vet Emma , we are very grateful for your excellent care of our geriatric fur baby :)

My Beagle broke through the barricades and ate some chocolates from the kids Christmas stockings. I brought him in to PVE Christmas morning and the staff were everything you would want them to be: attentive, caring, professional and provided regular updates. Our pooch was treated and recovered fully.

The friendly team has been efficient at their service of care for my cat, Kingsley when he was being a treated for a life-threatening condition. The vet bills could be expensive as it is an emergency service, but their care process is of the best standards, in terms of promptness, being receptive to my feedback and questions, and follow-ups with myself and my primary GP, Vetwest. It's been almost a week after his discharge, and they're open to reaching out and responding to my calls if I'm unsure about anything. Thank you once again team for helping my sweet boy.

Emergency vets can be expensive, but that is the only down side of PVE, and they’re worth it for the care they take with not only your pet but you. I’ve never met such a compassionate bunch of people and I’m so grateful for every one of them that I dealt with during a really scary time. Thank you all for taking such good care of Apollo, we’re both forever grateful! They’re not my closest emergency vet either but worth the extra drive if you can afford time. I’ll always come to you guys for emergencies with my fur babies.

Our German Shepherd has been to PVE three times, overnight observation after an op for Bloat, when his spleen twisted on the weekend they did the emergency surgery and then just recently for emergency afterhours care when he had Bloat AGAIN... Their expertise and care are fabulous. All with positive outcomes. I would highly recommend. I loved the cute photos and text messages they would send me periodically updating me on his condition what he was doing :-)

My Chihuahua injured a disc in his back. He was admitted just after midnight on Sunday 9th October 2022. At 8am a female vet told us that they couldn't see anything on the xray (they don't have an MRI), but she said my boy had gone downhill overnight. His back legs wouldn't work, he was unable to urinate, and that he had no deep pain sensation in his back toes. She said this constituted a serious spinal injury that surgery probably couldn't repair. She said he would have no quality of life, and the Kindest thing that I could to was to have him put to sleep. I said no and asked where the nearest surgeon was. I collected my boy at 8am Monday morning and was charged $3300 for an xray, some pain meds, 32 hours in a cage, and being told to kill my baby.Waves Veterinary Surgeon, in Cockburn, done the proper tests and told me he had a small rupture in his disc which was pressing on his spinal cord. He advised not to have surgery, but to keep him isolated, give him time, and see what happens. My baby boy is now back to full health, running and jumping like a mountain goat.If I had listened to the stupid vet's advice, from Perth Vet Emergency, my beautiful little baby boy would be dead. And they charged me $3300 to advise me that.YOU SHOULD BE ASHAMED!Further to my poor Review. The owner, who is not a Vet, contacted me.She offered a refund of $390, from the over $3200 that I was charged for 1 XRAY, some pain killers, being in a cage for 30hrs, and being told that my baby had grade 5 spinal disease, when in fact he only had a small spinal disc injury, which he has completely recovered from, and that a Professional Surgeon with Waves, in Cockburn totally disagreed with PVE's findings!PVE'S solution, diagnosis and prognosis, EUTHANASIA!I'm now reporting them to the Veterinary Board of Australia.Always seek a second opinion. But there's no need for that if you don't take your fur babies there in the first place.Go to the Emergency Vet in Wangara.
